Commercial Director (M&E) - BristolSalary: £100,000-£120,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Role Overview

We're seeking a Commercial Director (M&E) to lead commercial strategy, drive profitability, and strengthen client relationships for a major building services contractor based in Bristol. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives on shaping commercial frameworks, negotiating high-value contracts, and steering business growth across complex M&E projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Leadership - Own the commercial strategy across all M&E projects, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and margin protection.

• Contract Management - Lead negotiation and administration of NEC/JCT contracts, ensuring compliance and commercial clarity.

• Business Growth - Identify new revenue opportunities, support bids, and strengthen market positioning.

• Financial Oversight - Oversee cost planning, forecasting, and commercial reporting to board level.

• Team Leadership - Mentor and develop a high-performing commercial team across pre-construction and delivery.

• Stakeholder Engagement - Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal delivery teams.

About You

• Proven experience as a senior commercial leader within the M&E contracting or building services sector.

• Strong understanding of NEC/JCT contract frameworks.

• Demonstrable success in profit optimisation, risk management, and commercial governance.

• Confident communicator with the ability to influence at board level.

• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to delivery.

• £100,000-£120,000 base salary
