What BoQQs is

BoQQs is an index of opportunities. Every listing links to a third party — usually the employer, sometimes an agency or another board — where the actual application takes place. We are not a recruitment agency, an employment business, or a party to any contract between you and an employer.

No employment or agency relationship

BoQQs does not employ you, does not employ the people advertising roles, and is not a party to any contract, offer, or engagement that follows from a listing. We do not negotiate terms, handle pay, or represent either side. Any relationship formed is between you and the employer alone.

We do not select, shortlist, endorse, or introduce candidates. We publish adverts and link to the advertiser's own application page. Choosing which roles to pursue is entirely your decision.

We do not vet employers or verify listings

Listings come from employers and third-party feeds. We carry out basic checks that an advertiser appears to exist and that a role appears open, but this is not vetting, due diligence, or an endorsement, and it is not a warranty of anything.

We do not verify that a role is genuine, still available, lawful, safely run, insured, or paid at the rate advertised. We do not check qualifications, licences, right-to-work processes, or working conditions. Treat every listing as an advert placed by someone else.

What you should do before applying

The checks below are yours to make, and we cannot make them for you:

• Confirm the employer exists independently — Companies House, the CQC or a regulator where relevant, and the employer's own careers page.
• Never pay to apply, to train, for equipment, or for a DBS check as a condition of being hired.
• Do not send bank details, passport or visa scans, or a National Insurance number before you have a written offer from a verified employer.
• Satisfy yourself about pay, hours, site safety, insurance, and employment status before you accept anything.

If a listing asks you for money or for those documents up front, report it using the report button on the listing and we will investigate.

Outcomes are not guaranteed

We do not promise that you will find work, receive a reply, be shortlisted, or be offered a role, and we do not promise employers any number or quality of applicants. Nothing on BoQQs is advice — not career advice, not legal advice, not tax or financial advice.

Salary figures are averaged from advertised pay on live listings, not from earnings data. Calculator results are estimates based on published rates and thresholds and may not match your circumstances. Verify anything you intend to rely on.

Acceptable use

You may browse, search, and share listings freely. You may not:

• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-copy listings for a competing service.
• Use automated tools that place unreasonable load on the site.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform.
• Post or submit anything unlawful, discriminatory, or misleading.

Employer listings

Employers posting to BoQQs confirm that the role is genuine, currently open, lawful, and compliant with the Equality Act 2010. We may edit listings for clarity or remove them without notice or refund if they breach these terms.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for:

• Anything done or not done by an employer, agency, or other advertiser, including how they recruit, whether they hire, how they treat you, whether they pay you, and conditions at any workplace.
• Loss arising from a listing that is inaccurate, out of date, withdrawn, duplicated, or fraudulent.
• Loss arising from a decision you take in reliance on a listing, a salary figure, a calculator result, or any guide on this site.
• Loss or misuse of any information you give to a third party after leaving BoQQs.
• Loss of earnings, loss of an opportunity, loss of profit, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
• Interruptions, errors, or unavailability of the site.

We provide BoQQs free of charge to work-seekers. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to £100, or to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim if that is greater.

Third-party sites and content

Every apply link takes you to a site we do not control. We are not responsible for those sites, their content, their security, or how they handle your personal data. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave, not ours.

Reporting a listing

Every listing carries a report button. Use it if a role looks fraudulent, asks for payment, has closed, discriminates, or is misleading. We review reports and remove listings that breach these terms, usually within one working day.

We may remove any listing at any time, with or without a report, and we are not obliged to give a reason.

Indemnity

If you post a listing or submit content to us, you confirm you are entitled to do so, that it is accurate and lawful, and you agree to cover any claim, loss, or cost we incur because it was not.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
